PSP Homework Page

Most of the graphics on the site are done with Paint Shop Pro (PSP). This amazing program is very powerful. Since I've never had any training on Graphics Design (or even web design), I found a great Users Group and elected to enroll in a Self Learning Program (SLP). Being part of a user group allows me to connect with others using the program to share information and ideas. With the Self Learning Program, I learn PSP at my own pace and with good detailed tutorials to follow. This is the page I use to display my "homework".

September 4 Masks - Heartbeat Heart Ribbon A slightly different way to apply a mask... like a stencil. This was the picture created from the tutorial using a "creepy" font. On the second picture I chose a Zebra pattern and sprayed a tiger pattern in it. I added drop shadows to liven it up a bit.

3 Using Masks Glacier Ribbon Very nice tool. I'll definitely be playing with this one more! Find the original Omega Rising picture at galaxyphoto.com. I used the pastel oil pattern as a background to shine through the mask. Also created this picture using a mask of a picture I took of my roses.

2 The Clone Tool Bird on Dog Ribbon Great little tool. I need to think of a clever use for it. Had a really hard time cleaning up around the bird and can't help but think there is a better way to do this than what the tutorial offered. In my picture, I wanted to make the fish seem much bigger in my eyes than the one I was holding. The effect didn't work so well.

June 2 Blue Star Banner Service Star Ribbon Lots of good things learned from this tutorial that I didn't know before. I want to make it clear that I am not a parent of someone in the service, so it feels kinda weird displaying this flag here. But I DO support our troops.

1 Stained Glass The Cat Ribbon I had so much fun with this lesson! I'm amazed at just how realistic these look. You can see other Stained Glass pictures I've done here.

May 5 Sinedots Cat in Sinedots Frame Ribbon This is an interesting plugin. It deserves some time spent on it to really make it unique. I had a heck of a time trying to get this to work on a rectangular frame. But it looks good, so I don't mind so much.
