Kitchen Project

Standing in our existing kitchen looking through the (now taken out) garage door in to the new kitchen extension. This was taken as we were starting the laying of the Pergo flooring. You can see the cabinet/counter that's being built and the purple wall where the China cabinet will be moved to.
We cut and peeled the carpet, padding and tack strips from the dining room and a portion of the living room where there was a lot of (dirty) foot traffic from the back door. We installed feet on all the chairs, table and microwave stand (which soon probably will become a plant stand or something like that).
Standing in the kitchen extension looking back through the kitchen to the dining room. The new counter is on the left and opposite it will be our 2nd refrigerator. We still have the door trim and baseboards to put on. The new Pergo floor really looks good!
From the dining room looking back the other direction!
From the kitchen extension looking through the bar area into the living room. The only thing you see that isn't new (from when we moved in) is the dark wood and dish washer... everything else is something we've added, painted or installed! We put new hardware and bead n board facings on all the cabinets. We replaced all the countertops. We replaced the bar with inlaid tile. Mr. Myers built the light green cabinet(s). We replaced the kitchen sink. We replaced and added lighting and a ceiling fan. We painted the wallpaper. We added backsplashes above the stove and vented the stove hood to the outside.
The washer plumbing... rather than try to turn it around, we just poked another hole and ran some longer hoses. This will all be hidden behind a refrigerator as soon as I can get the baseboards on!
The Refrigerator is now in place as is the China cabinet. You can also see that we've laid carpet in the study.
I got the door trim cut and put up and painted. You can also see the crown molding in the kitchen extension.

I finished cutting and nailing on the trim in the kitchen and dining room.
This is the light that we replaced over the table in the dining room.
