San Gabriel River System I'm building a page with maps and detailed information about the public access to this river system. Check it out!

South San Gabriel
A nice bass in one of the prettier parts of the South San Gabriel This picture was taken by my 9 month pregnant wife who hiked about 1/2 mile up the South fork of the San Gabriel with me! It was worth every step to catch this nice little bass that I'd seen there before.
Released to grow bigger and fight another day. Catch and release is so easy to do!
Another nice South San Gabriel Bass This river is chock full of nice fish!
say hi to Bill!
Here's a closeup of some sunfish caught here

North San Gabriel
A beautiful native Texas Cichlid. Click for a larger view. This clickable picture is of a Texas Cichlid. This fish is native to Texas and is really an amazing critter. They're scrappy fighters! I caught this one on a trip up the North fork of the San Gabriel in Georgetown.

San Gabriel
San Gabriel River upstream from Mankin's Crossing The Central Texas Fly Fishers took a trip to the San Gabriel above Mankin's Crossing (West of Georgetown).
San Gabriel River... a beautiful riffle We paddled upstream from the bridge to the first riffle.
Matt tries to keep his fish out of the roots in the cut bank Here, Matt Jennings fights a nice bass he had stalked and faught. A good fight ended well
Very nice largemouth caught in a large pool just above the riffles
Young White bass caught at Mankin's Crossing I caught more white bass on this trip than any other fish... and this was in June!

Brushy Creek
Hillfisher with a HUGE Brushy Creek sunfish Johnny (Hillfisher) Irvin posed for this picture at one of our favorite spots in Brushy Creek in Round Rock. We like to tease each other about our fishing... this is one of my few blackmail items for him. He keeps dragging me to these places talking about the HUGE fish that are there...

Town Lake
Guadalupe Bass from Town Lake in Austin during the Perch Master's Classic 2002 This beautiful bass was caught in Town Lake, Austin during the Perch Master's Classic... a friendly "tournament" held by the Austin Fly Fishers.
This pumkinseed Sunfish was also caught at the PMC. This was my first time to catch one of these... wish it was a better picture! Pumpkinseed Sunfish from Town Lake in Austin during the Perch Master's Classic 2002
Colorado River - Lake Buchanan
The first one of these I've ever caught on the flyrod... took me 5 minutes to land and I enjoyed every minute of it. Caught on a Cypert's minnow in Mystic Cove on Lake Buchanan.
